Yangmeimon, which can be said to be the main gate of Nikko Toshogu. Major repairs were carried out in Heisei, and in March 2017, it was reborn as it was when it was built. Its history is said to have begun in 1617 when the second shogun, Prince Hidetada, built it as a shrine to Prince Ieyasu. Located almost in the center of Toshogu Shrine beyond the stone and bronze torii gates, Yangmeimon is the most powerful spot registered as a national treasure! The reason why Nikko Toshogu's Yangmyomon continues to fascinate people is not only because of its beauty, but also because of its history, numerous sculptures, thoughts and mysteries that have yet to be revealed.
